Privacy, in Plain English

Last updated October 2026. I'm Bill Quimby. I've helped businesses find memorable phone numbers since 1995, and I run LocalVanityNumbers.com along with VanityNumbers.com and a family of related sites. Here is what this site knows about you and what I do with it.

The Numbers on This Site

LocalVanityNumbers.com lists local phone numbers that spell words, for businesses to rent. That's about numbers, not people.

Visits

Like most websites, this one keeps a log of each page request: the page, the time, the internet address it came from, and the browser type. I keep these logs for up to 400 days, to keep the site fast, stop abusive traffic, and understand what people look for here. The site also uses your internet address to guess your state, so it can show you numbers near you first.

Google Analytics and Ads

This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to count visits and see which ads bring people here. They use cookies, and Google's own privacy policy covers what Google keeps.

If You Ask for a List

When you ask for a list of numbers, I keep what you send: your name, your email, your phone number if you give it, the kind of business, and the ad that brought you, so I can send the list and follow up. Emails I send may include a small image that tells me the email was opened.

Chat

The chat box in the corner comes from VanityNumbers.com. When you write to me there, I keep the conversation so I can answer you. The VanityNumbers.com privacy page has the details.

Ordering

When you order a number, checkout happens on my partner's site, under its own privacy policy.

AI Assistants

AI assistants can look up local numbers here through a direct connection. For each lookup I keep the number asked, the answer, which assistant asked, and when, with nothing that points to you. I keep the whole number so the next person who asks gets the answer free, and as my record of which numbers people ask about. A scrambled tag for the caller is kept 48 hours to stop abuse, then only totals. A lookup never tells me your name, and I don't keep any location your assistant sends. More about it: localvanitynumbers.com/ai.

What I Never Do

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Your Controls

Every email I send has a one-click unsubscribe. If you'd like me to delete what you've sent me through this site, just ask.
